Making kebabs is always really fun for children. The dicing of the lamb will need to be done by an adult, or overseen, but the rest can be left for the kids to enjoy. You can try adding different vegetables to these too – add the same amount of vegetables to meat and make double the skewers!
Ingredients
- 600g lamb leg, diced into roughly 4cm pieces
- Juice of ½ a lemon
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 garlic clove, crushed
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 200ᵒC and line a baking tray with baking paper.
- Mix the lemon juice, olive oil and garlic in a mixing bowl. Pour half into a jug and set aside for later. Add the lamb to the bowl, stir to coat, then thread onto 4 skewers and place on the baking tray. If using wooden skewers, soak in water for at least 30 minutes before use. Brush over any excess marinade and let stand for 10 mins.
- Cook in the top of the oven for 5 minutes, remove and turn the skewers over. Place back in the oven and cook for a further 5 minutes or until cooked through and slightly charred.
