Houmous

Super tasty, super healthy and super easy! Houmous is perfect to have as a snack with vegetable sticks (carrots, celery, peppers, radishes or anything else you fancy!) or flat bread/pitta bread.

Ingredients

  • 1 x 400 g tin of chickpeas
  • 1 small clove of garlic, crushed
  • 1 tablespoon tahini
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and Pepper

Directions

  1. Drain and rinse the chickpeas in a sieve over the sink.
  2. Blitz the chickpeas in a food processor until smooth.
  3. Add the garlic and tahini to the chickpeas and blend well.
  4. Season your houmous with lemon juice, olive oil and salt & pepper, by adding a little bit of each at a time.
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning as you go along.
