Hash Browns

These two ingredient hash browns are simple and tasty! The perfect accompaniment to a Full English Breakfast!

Ingredients

  • 2 Large Potatoes
  • 50g Butter/ Margarine
  • Salt and Pepper

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200C/ 190C Fan.
  2. Wash and grate your potatoes (skin on) onto a board or plate. Place into a seive and rinse in cold water until the water underneath runs clean. Turn out onto a clean dry teatowel, fold the teatowel over the potato and press to dry.
  3. Melt the butter for 10 seconds in the microwave. Stir the grated potato and melted butter in a large mixing bowl with a tablespoon.
  4. Spoon the potato into a 12 hole muffin tray. Press down with the spoon to compress.
  5. Bake in the centre of the oven for 5 minutes, remove from the oven and use your spoon to press down again. Place back in the oven for a further 10-15 minutes until golden and crisp.
