Chicken and Chorizo Skewers

Spice up your tapas by choosing a spicy chorizo and even add a little paprika to your chicken if you fancy! These are a great little finger food that can be easily made by the kids and enjoyed by the whole family.

Ingredients

200g Chicken Breast

200g Chorizo

Salt and Pepper

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200ᵒC.
  2. Cut the chicken breasts into small (3x3cm) pieces and slice the chorizo into 1cm thick slices. Season the chicken with salt and pepper.
  3. Push the chicken and chorizo onto 12 cocktail sticks, making sure there isn’t too much of a gap in between the meats.
  4. Place the skewers onto a lined baking tray (use greaseproof or silicon).
  5. Cook the skewers in the preheated oven for 10 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through. Turn the skewers over after 5 minutes to make sure they cook evenly.
  6. Remove one skewer from the oven and check that the chicken is cooked by cutting the largest piece in half. If it is still pink inside, continue to cook the skewers for a few more minutes and then check again.
