Grilled Squid

Not everyone’s favourite… but something to try. If you’re feeling brave and ambitious you can buy whole squid from a fish monger and prepare it by yourself (ask your fish monger for advice or look up an easy Youtube tutorial).

Ingredients

  • 400g Squid Rings
  • Grated zest of 1 lemon, plus a couple wedges
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • Freshly Chopped Parsley
  • Salt and Pepper

Directions

  1. Heat the oil in a large non-stick saucepan over a low heat and add the lemon zest and garlic.
  2. Turn up the heat to medium-high and fry the squid for 1-2 minutes until it takes on a little colour.
  3. Season and sprinkle over the parsley.
  4. Serve immediately with a wedge of lemon.
